Glimpse of VGKK School
A small effort to bring curative health to the Soligas has over the years has led to a large range of activities in health, education, livelihood and biodiversity conservation on a national scale. VGKK, founded in 1981, has been a response to the needs of the people and today proudly reflects the might of a dexterous team and endearing volunteers.
Tribal people constitute 8.2% of the population of India. Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra (VGKK) is committed to the holistic, sustainable development of tribal people, keeping in mind their socio-cultural background and their rights.
Action Plan

We learnt that the school gives free education for all the tribal children, who live near by villages. They have about 350 children studying there. They had a need for books and the stationary items, Team SPARSHA procured and we delivered it with our visit to VGKK. As we reached VGKK.They were eagerly waiting to get their books and basic stationary essentials.

As most of them are Soligas (Tribe), fact is 70% of them have not used touch screens or mobile phones.Team Sparsha spent a good amount of time with all the children and handed over the books and stationery. The best thing is our YML team’s families also participated in this event.
Cheers for YML
